34 Years of Success
30th April 1996: The entrepreneur family Schlotblohm looks back at 34 years full of hard work and success and at the same time looks to the future.
In 1976 the entrepreneur couple Edeltraud and Alfred Schlotbloom founded the company A+S Heat Cost Measurement and Settlement in Willich. Back then, the regulations for usage dependant settlement of heating and warm water were on the horizon and the married couple had the necessary business feeling to grasp the initiative at the right time.
At the very beginning, in the almost proverb like garage, the company developed in a breath taking tempo and represents today - 30 years later - a country wide important partner that has always remained independent.
Today there are 25 offices in Germany and 250 employees in the head office and at customers premises, where the middle sized business serves both private and business satisfied customers as a comprehensive service supplier and especially a trustworthy partner for building administrators, flat construction companies, private owners and craftsmen.
The A+S GmbH programme includes today the sales and rent of the total spectrum of modern measuring technology and the data collection and exact settlement of heating costs and water usage. As the technical demands have grown over the time, A+S has simultaneously continued to develop and places emphasis today on the most modern procedures and technology, in order to meet the needs of it‘s customers. A+S are proud of the results - an error rate of under one percent, which is way below that of the competition.
The error free settlement (that‘s where the motto „A+S Exact“ comes from) is not the only claim that A+S has. „We have promised ourselves as a service company, to remove as much work as possible from our customers and to be a problem solver in heating and additional cost settlements before problems even arise“ said Managing Director and company owner Alfred Schlotbohm.
That‘s why A+S have been forcing modern procedures such as radio readings or collection of reading data by internet since the beginning, in order to make procedures as easy and comfortable as possible and to offer the best benefits to customers.
Ralf Schlotbohm, Managing Director and son of the company founder tells us another secret of the success that A+S would like to continue for at least another thirty years: „despite technology, nothing is possible without our highly qualified employees who give good personal advice and service to our customers, which is also essential“.
